Caribeexpress - Laurel

I ordered two oxtail dinners yesterday. I have only been to this place one other time. The 1st time the oxtail was good and I felt like I should give them another try. This time, I ordered 1 beef Patty, 2 coco bread and two oxtail dinners. The oxtail dinners tasted good but my husband and I received very few oxtail and rice in the container. It was not worth $60. I also did not receive my receipt. I won’t try this place again.

I had the chance to visit Caribeexpress today and was highly disappointed! The mac and cheese were definitely boxed mac and cheese! The flavor of the cabbage was very different and not in a good way! The shrimp patty flavor was nice and spicy, but I counted two shrimp!Everyone was friendly that worked there, but the food was awful!

The main owner/cook is the sweetest that you will ever meet. I would recommend getting the chickpea platter or the chickpea patties. Their juices are also delicious!

I ordered lunch:Brown Stew Chicken Rice and PeasCoco BreadPumpkin StewThe chicken was dry but the rice peas were well-made.The coco bread was awful. It was stale on the bottom of the bread and dry on the top half.They were out of the pumpkin stew so they offered a replacement of channa, which was dry and bland.Overall, I spent $30 for this order and feel that I could have better spent my money elsewhere. I would've given them another chance if more than just the rice peas were well-made but all 3 items in my order had problems so I will not be ordering food from CaribeExpress again.

The goat curry was delicious. Great flavor and level of spice. Paired great with rice and peas, vegetables, coco bread, and fried plantains
