Market Square Restaurant & Bar @ The Sebel Launceston

This is probably one of the best restaurants in the city, but not much attention. Asian inspired dishes, dedicated eating, can see the heart in these oriented, beautiful environment and friendly service.

Coordinated with other reviewers, this place does not seem to get the attention that deserves it, and yes, probably because it was under the sebel (which I did not know before I went, this would have my decision, than in the rule remain away from places attached to hotels). we were very pleasantly surprised and will be absolutely back. service excellent, the room is warm and welcoming, while clean and modern, and eating was excellent. we shared (which didn't seem usual, but we wanted to try many things and they were happy) a series of small, a large and one side and each dish was great. great aromen, well presented, good price-performance ratio....read more

This place does not seem to get much attention in the sebel hotel, but it should be because my eating experience here was excellent. both breakfast was good (Bacon/Eggs and apfel zimtbrei). tee was served with real tee leaves instead of tee bags. the evening meal began with Naan bread with a trio of dips. the naan was very warm and exactly the right amount crispy. the entrance of the mushroom laksa was a brave choice for an Australian restaurant, but was nevertheless excellent. the necessaryness of this plate on the menu can be asked how many Asian restaurants offer laksa to a much lower cost serving larger portions. the lamb shoulder was the highlight. it was very good with a...read more

We stayed in the sebel and had arrived in the food at 18 o'clock, seemed the best option. book for 8 people who could relax in our suite before dinner. the place was busy with a large group of dirty locals who dominate the space. fortunately we were shown a quiet corner. the menu was interesting. we shared a pig bell starter. then I had lamentation, my man of the scotch steak, both meal times were raised. Ate here as I was staying in hotel. Wanton starter was Interesting and enjoyable. Had chicken breast for maim and although tomatobase was predictable the cheese topping was yummy.
