We haven't been to Chiang Mai for almost a decade now. Our first visit in 2015 was a very fond memory. That's why we reserved a table for our 15th wedding anniversary. After initially changing tables immediately because our table was full of ants due to freshly cut flowers standing there in a vase, we were given another table for 2 people in an adjoining room with a family with very loud children. We had actually planned the menu for 2 people for this special day, but with the tiny table, that would never have worked. So we ordered normally ala carte. We added “authentic Thai” when ordering. The food was a poem and as excellent as we remembered. We would be happy to come back at any time, even if we would like to spend a special evening in a quieter environment if possible.

Starting with the positive: The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and a great roof terrace, which could do with tidying up a bit. The food was just average and not Asian flavored. It was very bland. Cauliflower has no place in the main course. In addition, a German pancake soup was served in the lunch menu, which didn't really fit. The service was also uncoordinated and seemed very inexperienced. The portions were very small, so you don't feel full.

I'm thrilled! Thai food at Chiang Mei Restaurant is very good. No flavor enhancers, all freshly cooked. Super.. Pleasant terrace, clean seating and NETTES staff. Chief very attentive. The appetizer dish, is very tasty, rich and absolutely a pleasure. The most important dishes to serve a pleasure Absolutely as this Thai restaurant is always well visited by its very good cuisine. Can recommend ABSOLUT!

Very well visited place with delicious Thai food. A little more Thai seasoned would be desirable. unconditional booking.
