L&j Shack - Lauderhill

I was extremely disappointed when I arrived at the restaurant after dropping off a friend and found it closed. It was surprising and frustrating to see that the restaurant was no longer in business, especially since it still showed as open on Google.

I enjoyed my meal at the restaurant. Unfortunately, I couldn't take a photo because I started eating right away. My order included scrambled eggs, grits, and bacon, which was especially delicious. Despite the wait for my large to-go order, I appreciated the owner's attention to ensuring everything was correct before we left. I like that this restaurant is a family-owned business, called BF (which stands for blended family) instead of L&J. I will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

If I could give a zero rating, I would. The person at the front did not have proper training and took over 10 minutes just to take my order. The wait for my food was very long, and when it finally arrived, the wings were the smallest I have ever seen. This was completely unacceptable.

It was our first time ordering from this restaurant called BFF. Unfortunately, we ordered through Doordash which didn't show the restaurant name as L and J. Despite this confusion, we ordered 3 chicken and waffle dishes, one of which was supposed to come with blueberries at an additional cost. However, when we received our order, the blueberries were missing. Since we live far away, we couldn't return to the restaurant but we called to inform them of the mistake. The person we spoke to was polite but insisted that the blueberries were included. They suggested we come back to the restaurant, but we couldn't due to the distance. I am giving them 4 stars only because the order was incomplete. I also believe that their customer service could be improved by acknowledging the mistake and apologizing. Despite this, the food was delicious and we will consider giving them another chance in the future.
