Mercato's Iii - LATHAM

I hadn't visited this place in a decade, assuming it was just a typical pizza joint. The exterior looked the same, so I never thought to stop by. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped inside and found a warm, inviting Italian atmosphere that felt like family. The service was excellent, and the meatballs and chicken dishes we ordered were absolutely delicious. I agree with a previous reviewer that the bread could be fresher, but it wasn't enough to warrant a negative review. The pasta was cooked to perfection—just the way I like it, al dente. We'll definitely be returning soon!

I regularly order their tortellini alla Panna (tortellini with pink sauce), and it never fails to keep me coming back for more. I brought a friend who was visiting from out of town, and they loved their chicken marsala. The portions are likely large enough to share, but we were particularly hungry and nearly finished our own plates. We also tried their garlic knots, which were delicious. I highly recommend this place!

While some might consider it a bit pricey, the menu offered an amazing variety of dishes, including several I'd never seen before. The meats were juicy, tender, and full of flavor, and the vegetables were perfectly cooked, retaining their freshness without being underdone. The mushrooms, in particular, were divine. Even the unsweetened iced tea was exceptional. The only letdown was that they had completely run out of the dessert we wanted, so we'll have to return to try that and some of the other main courses that caught our interest. Definitely worth checking out!

I arrived just before 8:00 PM after a long day, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The service was incredibly friendly, and the food was excellent. I thought I might get some pushback for arriving late, but it was quite the opposite. I was greeted with a smile and promptly shown to a great table. The marinara sauce was the best I've had in a long time. I will definitely be returning – it was delicious! I give it a solid 5-plus stars.
