Le Saucier - Lasalle

We were 30 ladies for lunch for the Indian buffet. The offerings were wonderful: from soup to papa-dams, to steamed salmon, lamb, shrimps, and barfi and saffron ice cream. The service was excellent and given it's at a culinary school, the students were well supervised.I would gladly return again.The parking is restricted on the Raymond, but there is parking at the back of the school at the resto entrance side.The dining-room is quite small and not really kiddie-friendly.There is a small store with frozen and prepared foods, adjacent to the resto.

This is a school of culinary arts. Students come from all over the world to attend with a particular concentration of Chinese students. Here students are taught to cook cuisine and pastry, serve at tables. Other courses include retail butchery, wine tasting and bread making.Our purpose for going there, however, was to take part in one of many dinners that the school offers in order to train future chefs, waiters, pastry makers etc.This was a 5 course meal.The first service was Grilled zucchini

Been going to this place for years for a culinary supper treat where time was never a factor so we decided to try it for lunch which was a whole different kettle of fish.Got there at 11;45,at 12;30 we got a small spoonfull of a flavored melon,at 1;pm i got something called a deconstructed shrimp cocktail which consisted of 2 shrimp on some gelatinous cocktail sauce,by 2;pm we got our main course which in my case was a very stingy piece of Hake, 3 bites and it was gone,2;30 i got my desert with a coffee also very small portion of something that was supposed to be a chocolate sponge cake,we finally got out of there by 3pm.While everything tasted great it was like torture being very hungry and having to wait that long for the food, i left the place starving and stopped by MacDonalds on my way home.I'll definitely be back to this little gem but at supper time not lunch time.

Culinary school that receives us in their little restaurant. small table with white tablecloth, discreet, courteous and fast service. food was good and for the price ($18) we had for our money. the only point to improve, for me, would be that food is warmer. The waiters were nice, we didn't miss water and the atmosphere was pretty friendly. A nice dinner between friends.

The food and services are always excellent. The staff are always friendly and professional. The price is very affordable. The restaurant is very very clean and tidy. One can take time to relax and enjoy the food experience. No walk ins, reservations only.
