Bidrage med feedbackWas here a year ago and back in Vegas so we gave Vanderpump another try. Had a reservation and good thing as they were telling walk ups over an hour wait and this was a Tuesday. 2 of us. Seated in about 5 minutes in a very nice spot. Seating is quite spread out here which I really like vs some places that jam seats in (Ramsay Steak). Took a while for the server to show up but after that service was good. Ordered Monsiour Croquets. Awesome ham and cheese and quit decadent. By far the best thing we had. 3 of them and quite filling. Then came the Seafood Trio tartare. Weird as it should have been first. Average at best. Then the Wellington Sliders. 3 of those. I didn’t care for the meat flavoring but my wife thought it very good. I had a delicious pink peppercorn margarita. Maybe the best margarita I’ve ever had. Wife had wine, but healthy pour. Ambiance is cool and prices can be reasonable for Vegas depending on what you order. Food too inconsistent for me though.
The service was great, the place is classic Lisa Vanderpump elegance and beauty. Normally I can bypass poor food for a great experience, but when you're paying $70 $100+ on a single person, the food and drinks HAVE to be better. My friend got a mezcal that was incredibly disappointing it literally came in encased with smoke and didn't taste smokey! The drink was water down due to ice chips a drink like this needs specific ice. We were looking forward to fresh vegetables in the ratatouille, but it was literally a bowl of battered and fried veggies so it was like eating a huge bite of onion rings. The mac and cheese was watery, taste was okay. The mini slider bites were very greasy with an odd flavor. The chicken pot pie was okay that's all I have to say about it. Both my friend and I felt like we were forcing ourselves to eat the food because we were so hungry and spending so much money. If I could go back in time and tell myself to spend my money elsewhere, I would. So I'm telling you to now!
As always, everything was great. The truffle baguette really is to die for! Arlene was a fantastic server. We really loved her.
Too much bread and cheese. May be what I ordered. Smoked drink was outstanding!
I was waiting for about 10 min to be greeted or get water. The appetizer (caviar) was really good. Then I got the fish as the main course. It was taking a long time and the waiter kept apologizing. Then it arrived and I had to spit it out. The fish was super salty and the entire dish was cold like it had been sitting there. He placed another fresh order of the same dish since i wanted to try it. IT TOOK SO **** LONG. He apologized a million times and the chef chatted as well and they gave me a free dessert but it was cold as well too (the donuts). Tasty though. the fish dish wasnt good for what its worth I shouvled just had appetizers. Sadly this was a special occasion that wasnt so pleasant but the staff was super kind.
