Lawry's The Prime Rib - Las Vegas

Make sure to make a reservation. Went here after watching a TikTok review. Ordered the French onion soup to start it was good but wasn’t exceptional. Ordered shrimp cocktail the sauce was really good. Spinner salad was not very good because of the dressing. Dinner was a diamond cut prime rib dinner was very good and cooked to perfection (medium) came with mashed potatoes and gravy. Waiter did not explain what the pudding was that came with the dinner which is to be dipped into the prime rib juices would’ve been nice to know. Ordered the trio lobster tails with macaroni and cheese. Tails were good and the macaroni and cheese was really good. Glad we experienced this place. They were “out” of the wine we initially ordered at $17 a glass, and replaced it with a $55 per glass which was a bit shocking, When the bill came. $400 for dinner with tip.

I went to a Christmas company dinner. The food and staff were great. I look forward to going again.

Im a little torn because this has been an annual thing visiting this restaurant around xmas for quite some time. Ive always loved coming here around the holidays with the exception of this trip. Ive noticed since covid alot of places having issues with staffing so im willing to give it a pass this time. Upon sitting down we were greeted and brought water. There was lipstick all over my water glass. It was promptly replaced once I said something but no apology. I then ordered half a dozen oysters as an appetizer. I noticed a food runner hit 2 tables before ours with the oysters before finally settling at ours. Once dropped they were a full dozen (i ordered a half) i waited a good 7-10 min before our server came back to which he just looked annoyed and took them away returning roughly 15min later with our half dozen. Salad service was flawless and perfect. The Prime Rib Cart arrives and we receive our cuts and sides. The cart is sloppy with bits of sides just strewn about. Very unappetizing. Other than that the prime rib was ok, not the best Ive had there. The assistant to the serve was spot on except never bringing ice for our water or iced tea. 1st 5/10 experience of all the 10/10 experiences going there the last decade or so. Hopefully next year is better?

This place was a toss up. Very cozy and great steakhouse vibes but the food left a lot to be desired. You select the size of the prime rib and whether you want corn , spinach and mashed potatoes. The cut itself was very mediocre. Lacked taste. It was drowning in the steak sauce which felt watered down. Mashed potatoes were decent but creamed spinach missed the mark. Their “spinning” salad wasn’t great with an odd dressing choice. Mac and cheese was too creamy vs cheesey. We were a large group but service was extremely slow. Waited 3hrs to get prime rib. It was neat to see a cart came table-side and serves your meal. If you’re very into prime rib I’d get it a shot. As far as Vegas steakhouse goes it seems very fairly priced.

If you like warm cozy and good ol fashioned upscale...then this is it. They could have better vegetarian options. But overall a lovely place for a date night or dinner with friends where no one can wear tennis shoes. An excuse to dress nice and eat good food
