Backstage Wine - Larkspur

Backstage is one of my top choices, and I always have a great time there. I highly recommend it for an enjoyable evening!

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. We arrived right on time for our reservation, but it felt like the place was overbooked and the staff were overwhelmed. We were completely ignored for about 25 minutes. Eventually, I had to go up to them myself, and we finally got seated. To our dismay, we were then ignored for another 25 minutes. Almost an hour after arriving, I had to approach them again, and they finally served us our wine. To make matters worse, they ran out of one of the items we wanted from the menu. Overall, it was a frustrating experience with unacceptable customer service.

I'm not sure what everyone else is raving about! While the location and layout are nice, the wine is nearly undrinkable! I actually had some tourists sitting next to me who offered me their half-finished bottle, saying they didn't like it. I couldn't agree more. We only came here to wait for a table at Picco across the street.

I visited this restaurant on a Saturday night with friends, and we were warmly welcomed by the staff. A special thanks to Alexandra for her attentive service and excellent recommendations. The wine list is impressive, and the outdoor seating area adds a fun vibe. I’ll definitely be back!

My teammates and I, along with several coaches, recently had dinner at Backstage Marin for a coaches meeting. The restaurant's hosts were incredibly welcoming and accommodating (big thanks to Ed!). The indoor venue is nice, but we chose to dine outside, where there were heaters and blankets to keep us cozy. We ordered both types of pizza on the menu, and they were fantastic. However, the standout dish was the artichoke dip—by far the best I've ever had! All of their dishes are made in-house, and it really shows. The restaurant is located in the charming town of Larkspur, which is full of character. I'm really grateful to my head coach brother-in-law's significant other for recommending this spot. I can't wait to go back!
