Bolillo's Cafe North - Laredo

Visit Bolillo 's often for coffee and light breakfast. Their breakfast options are awesome, varying from plain breakfast tacos or toast 'bolillos ' smothered with refried beans or your choice of sides to full breakfast plates, which include omelettes, menudo, chilaquiles and many other. Their bakery is a world to itself best 'conchas ' and pan dulce in town. Their apple stuffed 'semitas ' are unique. And you can 't beat the atmosphere... great pace for family or business meets.

We saw several roaches walk across the walls here. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

We went for lunch yesterday for our anniversary and the atmosphere inside and outside are so inviting. I tried the chicken poblano, and it exceeded my expectations ! This was my dads and my go-to restaurant before he passed in January this year. I always ordered the Cilantro Shrimp salad, and it was perfect each time! I wanted to try something different, and I'm not surprised....it was also delicious and well portioned. The price isn't bad either!!

Really bad service, entered at 11:54am and was not greeted, waiting to be seated, people were coming in and out. Someone finally greeted us and gave us a number at 12:05pm., told us to go outside and wait out there. Saw people parking and going in and just be seated, while my party of 2 were waiting to be called with the buzzer number that I was given 30minutes before everyone that was entering. Sucks because I really like Bolillos!

Was looking forward to a nice hot torta/meal. We’d stayed away from here for some time. Had asked for lettuce, tomato, guacamole, etc. on the side. Seemed like they got the order right. Got home, both of the thin strips of milanesa were slathered in guacamole. Note to restaurant: not everyone likes the food they way your preparers like to prepare it. The restaurant tried calling back 5-10 mins later. Too late, you’ve failed already. And I’m already headed somewhere else.
