Tacolisious - Lapeer MI

Because of the taste and flavor of both the steak tacos and the tamales I have to go with the five star rating, something I rarely do. I finally stopped in today after hesitating for too long. Maybe I thought the prices might be ridiculous (many food trucks are) but I needn't have worried. At $2.00 per amply filled taco and $2.50 per tamale the prices are certainly fair. The price is good, the taste is better. Speaking of the tamale, it's definitely worth trying. You know that the masa on most tamales you get is dry and crumbly without much flavor. That's not the case here. It's moist, doesn't fall apart while attempting to get to the filling and has a flavor all its own. Not a ton of flavor but you immediately realize this is different If you're a taco tamale fan do yourself a favor and stop in at Ta Canijo on State Street. Open Monday through Friday, they have other commitments on the weekends. They have ample parking and large umbrella tables to stand at. Note: According to an employee, it's possible that they might not be there much longer. While customers enjoy the food and neighbors look on them favorably, I was told the Village of Lockport isn't as hospitable as it could be. Let's show Lockport that we like Ta Canijo just fine.

This is a great taco truck featuring street tacos Very flavorful with the right amount of seasonings Unless you have a very small appetite, order at lease two, you will be glad you did I also ordered a side of chips and salsa, it was a generous portion that could easily feed four people Or give you leftovers for later. There is parking, and stand up outdoor tables Most orders are people getting carry out Give them a try, its worth it

The tacos here are amazing! We have tried all 3 kinds and were not disappointed with any of them. The pastor is my favorite. The chips are outstanding as is the salsa. Prices are very reasonable and the people are friendly. The tacos are street tacos so for me that means I order 4. They are supposedly remodeling the small building behind the truck for permanent use. Can't wait! If you are looking for the best tacos in Lockport try them out!

Super tasty tacos! They are on the smaller/ street taco size but are filled generously enough. You have the choice of chicken (which comes shredded), steak and al pastor. I have to reccomend all 3 They also have elotes in a cup. I'll try that next time. Until then enjoy these tasty bites... #AlfieEats
