Zoobie's Old Town Tavern - Lansing

The service was exceptional; Kayla and Sonia were fantastic. The drinks were reasonably priced and made in Michigan. I absolutely adore the over 100-year-old wallpaper behind the bar as well.

I made a stop in the capital while driving from Grand Rapids to Detroit. The neighborhood felt a bit sketchy, even in the afternoon, but once inside the restaurant, the atmosphere was vibrant. I found two seats at the bar and was promptly greeted for my order. I chose a local draft IPA ($6.76) and we shared the Three Cheese Garlic Bread ($11.44). The beer was delicious—a strong, hoppy ale with a rich malt flavor. The garlic bread was massive, essentially the size of half a pizza, with a generous amount of gooey melted cheese and a drizzle of vinaigrette on top. It tasted fantastic and paired perfectly with more beers. The bartenders were incredibly friendly, and the overall crowd was laid-back. I would definitely return if I'm ever in the city again.

Brought friends from out of town here for their birthday. As we were leaving, the waiter flipped us off as he said have a good night . It was so odd. Really disappointed in the service.

Love this place! food and atmosphere is so comfy and fun! we love the mystery pizza and the apps! The Moscow mules are my favorite in Lansing! Staff are always so nice!

I found this place appealing based on Yelp reviews, but it turned out to be quite disappointing. The bartender was helpful in selecting a beer, but she seemed overwhelmed with numerous craft cocktail orders from the servers, which clearly took a lot of time. I ordered the cheese dip with chorizo, expecting something more substantial than what arrived. After a 15-20 minute wait, my dish came out with cold chips and dry, crumbled chorizo on top of warm, canned queso dip. It felt like the microwave must have been overworked. I'm not sure how this place received such high ratings, but it definitely missed the mark for me. Sorry to say!
