Capital City Soul Food - Lansing

I have celebrated black restaurants in black history month. capital city soul food was closest to me. because if covid, the menu was cut back. I ordered cats, green collars and mac n cheese. there was enough for two meals! everything was delicious. the maisbrot was still warm and so moist. I will definitely visit there again. great work!

I have catfish dinner and three sides. everything was great. the type that cooked the food and served me was very nice. I will definitely return! for all African American people who go and praise these other fish fry art from places, but do not support their own, they are the problem supporting your own! the fish was the best I had in lansing! well seasoned and perfectly roasted

Eating is amazing and the staff is so friendly and friendly. get out of your comfort zone and try something new, you won't regret it! I have tried that the ox tail rejects a recommendation from the personal, and it has not disappointed. actually it was a wonderful surprise and absolutely something I want to get back. also they have the best green in the city, hands down.

Everything i have tried (ive been trying a lot) has been above my expectations.. I cant help but feel that all of the negative feedback doesnt understand the soul part.. Tips (ribs), wings, greens, cabbage, ox, beans, okra, and especially the pork chops(sandwich) are the best u will find in lansing for soul food.
