Bidrage med feedbackIt is the oldest and longest restaurant in langley, good over 30 years or more, I remember this place as a young man, I all come here with onkel and dance to church for their pasta, I was surprised...and happy they still run, same owner, it is my onkel's best friend also che, the onkel dinning room need a good decision about ding and very out. in any steak house they cost over less $50 or more, but not here! not a first class cut, but tender and tasteful, just don't season over the makes the meat, oncle loves its seafood fattyuccine, it's a classic taste, also my calamari so crispy and beautiful size cut, really they can't judge a book of him 's restaurant
I think this restaurant needs a huge overhaul, maybe gordon ramsay or robert irvine to make a visit here. the salate has to be picked only from a large water log faeces, it was swimming in water. the word salat should be used loose, since. that is only wet salat on a teller. I had the steak oscar- the steak was a very strange shape - almost as star shaped, the sauce was more like a blob fortified bernaises sauce. sauce wasn't hot. broccoli was ok- I chose the baked kartoffel- that was ok- but the huge blob sour cream that the girl put on it was much too much. lol the best part was the appetizer- the Greek waiter recommended the calamari- i like calamari- so we ordered it on her recommended- it came with only calamari rings, no legs, no lemon wedge and it was cooked to be the point almost burned. I thin k they must have the fry oil- I looked around and even the french fries were a dark color. we will not go back.
Venetis has always been there. I have never gone to the langley restaurant, which has been running since the early 80s, only the small supply connection, the mr. veneti in the 70s, which was then the highest! Eating was easy....Nothing to be excited. my friend 's 12 oz sirloin was well ordered medium and was literally ok in the middle. overboiled and like leathers on one side and near rarely on the other side. all eating was cold, sad. our waitress was literally like a bad smell that would not go away and continue to chat with us, with was extremely annoying. Not back, unless we can get a day if chatty is not on the layer.
When we came to the restaurant, it seemed good, and the menu looked great. but we felt very hurried from our server, and it seemed like she wasn't happy to be there. I have the blue of the chicken and ordered a caesar salad instead. of regular salats that came along, and my friend got the filet of the sole Madagascar. when we got to eat, a part of the only meal was cold, but mostly good, although the rice is most likely from the freeze and the sweet. also the chicken cordon blue was good. but after we have asked that a part of the food is reheated, the server never came to check us, and just did not seem to worry, again seemed like it was in a huge hurry all the time, although the restaurant was not busy. then the bill came. they have calculated an extra $7.00 for the Caesar salad, which was literally only romain, nasty caesar dressing and fake parmesan cheese, and the meal should come with an salate, I only updated it to this lame excuse of a Caesar salad. we then asked why it was so much and got the manager we should talk to. she told us that there was a charge, and that they did not find it cheaper everywhere else, but obviously we have, since no one would be for salat, dressing and fake. then she said she would take it out of the bill and stormed off. When she came back, she said very angry: “If they can find a charged Caesar salad for less than $7, they let me know, and smiled the bill on the table. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone if they were looking for a nice place, with good service.
We've been going here for a few years now for our little dinner dates. The food is great, the prices are very reasonable...Surf, Turf, Salad bar and much more. Even the drinks are reasonably priced. Cost us almost half what we'd pay for me: Filet...Mignon, 2 beers and cheesecake, for her: Seafood delight (Lobster tail Prawns and deep fried shrimp, cheesecake desert). Decor is dated but we arent there to look at anything or anyone but each other, and it's so nice that the restaurant isn't so loud with droning conversations and pop music competing with each other to be heard , so we could actually hear each other without raising our voices too. Highly recommend this establishment if you value good food, good value and family run type of business.
