The Eskdale - Langholm

Lovely country Scottish hotel in the borders. Friendly staff, good food and hospitality. Has own car park. Very chilled. Not too pricy but very traditionally full of class. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

What a hidden gem this is the staff could not have been more accommodating. We ate our evening meal in the hotel taking the 3 course option, the food was well cooked, hot and plentiful, tip to the wise, make sure you are hungry as the portions are generous. The locals including teenage school children were an absolute delight, friendliness that we have not experienced in a long time. Glasgow councillors should visit to see how a council can be ran and how our well earned money could be spent; clean streets, empty bins and well maintained common areas including greenery! If you get the chance, visit this delightful area and if time and funds permit, eat or even better stay in the hotel! The rooms are not the biggest but they are clean and comfortable with common areas to sit relax and have coffee or something stronger! You wont be disappointed we will definately return.
