Bidrage med feedbackI didn't eat anything before I took my photo. Right from the restaurant. Neither was there any rice grain found. 20 grams of meatballs and broth. Terrible.
Dad's soups and Sangys had been on my radar for the better part of 5 years, so I was most satisfied when I finally had the opportunity to apply this local jewel. I admit that there was above all the name that drew me – there is... just some fun about the word “Sangys”. It fills you with a childish joy. How about a nice soup and Sangie for lunch? Count me in! (What can I say, PookyCake is slightly amused! The interior of Dad’s soups and Sangys is quite basic, or what I’ll call “no frills.” The floor coverings are gray laminate; the walls are painted white; the tables are kind of small, but can comfortably enjoy 4 males who enjoy their soups and Sangys; the chairs fit the general decor in that they are not white in color, but are very cozy; the menu is published on a large TV screen behind the checkout; and there are many navy-related memories that are not found. While the interior is quite standard, it is nevertheless comfortable and is therefore the perfect place to enjoy a hearty soup and fresh sandwich. For lunch I ordered the soup du Jour (cream of the celery and the PookyCake classic (ham swiss sandwich). In my experience, the celery cream is usually quite bland, but the version I had here in Dad's soups and Sangys was delicious from the charts. It was cheerful, rich and hearty. Coupled with the PookyCake classic, it made for an excellent lunch break. I should offer a brief comment on the sandwich: As mentioned, I had the ham Swiss with freshly baked brown bread. The sandwich was loaded with ham, Swiss cheese, cucumber slices, fenced onions, shredded salad, mustard, Mayo and pepper (see attached photo, but not too much. Because of their freshness, all the ingredients were combined, which caused a mouth-water bite every time. I confess I'm done! You may need to take your sandwich home for dinner; Since I sat and finished my lunch, it became clear to me that this facility is obviously a popular meeting place for lunch. Many – and I mean MANY – came in mosquitoes and got a lot of soup and sangy to go. And who could blame them? After eating here I could only see clearly how and why this place has become a local lunch lover. FOODS: 5/5 SERVICE: 4/5 VALUE: 5/5 RECOMMENDATION: It takes an extraordinary talent to make something as basic as a soup and sandwich seem special. But, as you smell the aromas of hearty soups and freshly baked breads that blow through the air, you know that people in Dad's soups and Sangys did it right. And I'm glad I had the opportunity to visit when I did because I learned since my visit that the original owner retired at the end of February and the business has been sold to someone else since then. Recommended. PS: If you have found this review helpful in any way, please note to meet the helpful button!
Great small place for soup, salad many types of sandwiches. Fresh selection of bread. Very much for lunch on Thursday afternoon. Back!
You can get a hard bowl of soup for a reasonable price. It is thick stick on your ribs type of soup. Get a small bowl and a healing end (final bread) baked, and you have lunch. Very full!!!
Had lunch there one day as work is close by. The sandwich was excellent, a little pricy, but lots was stacked on the fresh baked bread. They have salads too.
