Bidrage med feedbackAs the name already reveals, the passage rooms are located in a passage along the long fields main road, not far from the city center. the passage rooms are on two rooms. This may have been initially two separate locals, which were later “seated” because both rooms have a separate access from the passage and are connected to each other only by a narrow, inconspicuous passage. the larger, room-like room offers for larger companies with up to 60 people space, and is dominated by a quite inviting theke. therefore also referred to as “Bierschwemme”. visually, this area is reminiscent of the old Rhine style with dark work. the second room, the actual restaurant or steak house, is held in Mediterranean style – much wood and with coarse, reddish bricks created arches and walls divide this space into smaller niches. in total about 45 people in this area square. the small part divide makes the space quite homely, but this is recurred by the plastic flowers and plastic plantations on the tables and the space dividers. this is simply cheap. when I entered the passages with my companion during the advent period, we were immediately received by the service, and accompanied in the steak house, which was almost filled to the last place. in the back area, however, we found another two table. we had barely settled down, we were already given the quite extensive menu. on several sides are Croatian dishes from the grill, international dishes, fish dishes, specialties from the pan, steaks specialities from the bark, toast dishes, as well as pre- and after meals as well as some kinder dishes. the 60 different main courts are offered. in view of this scope, the study of the menu took some time until I had decided to start a French dovetail soup (the cup for 3.50 eur, also available as a terrine for 5,00 eur) as an appetizer, and züricher swung with champignons and croquettes (for 14.80 eur). my guide chose the fried zanderfilet in lemon sauce with butter rice (14.80 eur.) as a drink once did not order a white beer but a gaffel crumb (0.3 liter for 2.10 eur) – finally I am not all days in the Rhineland. the beverages stood jerk-zuck on the table, and soon the ordered woofer came. the wobbles were not in rings but cut into finer rings, as is usually the case with a French woof soup, but in small cubes. I don't think it's bad, because the suppe can be eaten more easily, and the taste does not break down whether the wobbles are dice or in discs. I didn't think that the white bread was also distributed in small pieces in suppe, and was not roasted in a piece on top. the cheese could have been a darker one for my taste. tastefully this suppe was good tasted. just a short time after the suppentasse was removed, the service already showed the salats for my companion and me. the mixed salate (especially green leaf salad, also some tomate, carrot and mais from the dose) made a fresh impression, but the jogurt salat sauce was a disappointment. bleich as the dead, and tastefully as dead. after mine, some 08-15 finished sauce, one of the worse. in the case of the züricher swung by with ordered züricher continued trend after finished goods. no fresh champignons but cut mushrooms third choice from the dose (meaning also the first choice from the glass, which however does not really change something in taste) instead of a fine cream sauce a quite dark powder finish was served. no trace of white wine and a trace of lemon juice, which one expects from a good charred swung. my companion had made the better choice with the fried zanderfilet this evening. it was very satisfied with the taste of the fish, and also with the added butter rice and the lemon sauce. such an extensive menu can only be achieved with massive use of finished products. the fresh and individual preparation must necessarily remain on the line. a dessert, I crispy to myself, and this although as dessert, palat ham stood on the map. I can't stand this way, but in this case...
We have been there before and every time I order the same thing: Putengeschnetzeltes mith Spaetzle and Obst (slices of turkey with homemade noodles and fruit). I know...boring!, but I really, really like this dish. Our eating companions had Kroatian dishes, large helpings, which were good as well. The ambience is wonderfully cozy. It takes a little bit of looking, maybe asking, to find this very popular restaurant in a passage way on the Hauptstrasse (main street) close to the market area, but it's well worth the search.
