Zippy's Brass Rail - Lancaster

The atmosphere at Zippys is fantastic. We absolutely love it here. You must try their burgers - they are massive and delicious.

Poor service. the waitress did not seem too amazed by us there, was not helpful when asking simple about the menu “What is always on the menu”, when the food was served, it was sitting on the table, we had to ask for several things and received a huff and a puff in reaction.

Wonderful atmosphere for a small town bar! Service was excellent and the food was great bar food. Highly recommend!

Zippy's Burgers is a popular spot in Lancaster known for their delicious cheeseburgers and made-to-order meals. Growing up in the area, I often went to Zippy's for a quick bite. The prices are very reasonable, usually less than $3 for a hefty burger made with at least half a pound of ground beef. The burgers are served on toasted rolls with your choice of toppings, including spicy cheese, fried onions, ketchup, and pickles. The atmosphere at the bar is lively and the food is always tasty. I highly recommend trying their signature Zippy burger.

If I could give zero stars, I would! We are from out of town and chose this restaurant based on its ratings. The staff were extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. We felt like we were inconveniencing them by asking for the menu. My food was practically thrown onto the table. We had to return to the bar to get our drinks after getting our food, straws, napkins, containers, and bill. The server didn't even ask if we needed anything. We are a friendly group and tip well when treated well. We're not sure if we were treated poorly because we're not locals or if they were just having a bad day.
