Bidrage med feedbackWent here with some friends as they had been before and it was good. Starters were pretty poor, we shared a selection of 3, all were luke warm and lacked any seasoning. Mains were better, although in the lamb curry I had it was almost hunt the meat, I managed to find 3 pieces which is pretty poor for a dish costing £12. Breads were good and the service was fine. Overall not somewhere I would rush back to
We have been going to The Indian Dining Club for years and the food has all been very good quality, not greasy and tasty. It has always been a little bit more expensive but it’s what is expected when you want better quality ingredients and food. Sadly, the last few occasions the portion size has got ridiculous to the point I needed to go and eat something else after. The menu has changed and some traditional dishes have disappeared. I ordered a chicken Shashlik which was no longer on the menu we had but they said it could still be done which was appreciated. We were billed £12.50 compared to £8.50 on the menu we had at home and was less than 6 months old. £4 increase? We have always passed on views good and bad being a business owner myself but both the owner and team seem like they are happy and content with what they are doing. I get the view that they few everything is justified which maybe the case but you will lose out in the long run when loyal customers will just stop coming back. Let’s hope the quality remains the same but prices and quantity improves
This is a nice restaurant in Gypsy Hill, south of London. It claims to be associated with Kennington Tandoori, who, our waiter told us, has a Michelin star. There was a mention that Michelin "recognised" the Tandoor in 2019, but little more. It was not found in the search of the Michelin Guide The IDC has a similar restaurant, but despite its stay in Gypsy Hill, it is only fractionally less expensive. Most starters are about £6, pages Veg £7-9, net are about £10. Drinks are pricier. I paid £7 for a pint of Cobra The food is of high quality and that is reflected in the price Although it is not an unattractive restaurant, it does not radiate much atmosphere The service was efficient enough, but lacking personality. They took the order; they wore the plates still, I would go again. But because of prices, I would save it for a contract
The ambience was nice together with the staff and the food was well balanced, not swimming in oil as some Indian restaurants.
The venue had a nice ambience and the staff was really attentive.
