Auberge du Grand Champ - Lalley

Very nice stop for an authentic and simple place. The food is good and cooked with local product from the neighborhood or their own garden. Service is OK but seems to be very depending on daily occupancy so I understand the erythromycin different comment on TA. Anyway if you are around you may stop.

I was recently touring by motorcycle in the Grenoble area and happened upon the Auberge du Grand Champ around lunchtime. The Chef Patron was very welcoming and spoke good English which took the pressure off my poor French. The choice of menu was good and when it arrived it was cooked to perfection. The ingredients were fresh local produce prepared and cooked carefully by a chef who clearly takes pride in his work. The desserts were very imaginative and thoroughly delicious. To top it all the final bill including coffee and a soft drink came to less than €20. Extraordinary value in a rural but beautiful location. If you happen to be walking, cycling, skiing or motorcycling in the area take the time to stop by and sample some local produce carefully prepared. Its always a pleasure to find places like this when travelling.

We ate there last night and everything was excellent: the feet in the grass, the welcome with the smile, the succulent dishes... A great bravo to the team !!!! An address to be exchanged
