Rubio's Coastal Grill - Lakewood

The California Bowl is tasty. Every portion of the meal tastes good by itself (aside from the sauce on the side). I don't find the sauce on the side necessary as it seems to dull the taste of the other ingredients, to me. Customer service is good, and the establishment takes Samsung Pay.

This is my favorite Rubio's in So Cal. I drive out of my way to come to this location. They consistently give good sized portions. I've never had a negative customer service experience. In fact, all the staff are so nice and hospitable. It's a popular location so sometimes there's a bit of a wait. But good things come to those who wait. The food is well prepared and packaged. Can't beat the prices or professionalism.

The bowls we ordered were great but for the price the servings were meager. It would have been nice if they were filled more than halfway. I had the bowl with grilled veggies quinoa and there very few veggies. Sorry but I was disappointed in Rubio's in Lakewood.

It's been many years since I've eaten here. Decided to stop in to pick up some dinner on the way home. I ordered the coastal trio which was 1 batteref fish taco, 1 shrimp taco and 1 mahi taco. I like ttgat the to go boxes keep the tacos upright too. Makes it easy to eat. I will be back again!

I have been a fan of Rubio's for 30 years. The langostino lobster is my absolute favorite but everything on the menu is great. I had a steak taco shrimp taco this time and it was the perfect surf and turf combo. My nephew loves their bean and cheese burritos and I think it speak volumes when a restaurant can make a bean and cheese burrito that people love to order. My husband ordered the California bowl with cauliflower rice and said it was fantastic. Every order was fresh and flavorful. We always make at least one trip to Rubios whenever we are in California.
