Moon Rise Cafe - Lakewood

I absolutely love this restaurant! It's always bustling, so you might have to wait for a table—and then for your food—but it’s definitely worth the wait! The biscuits are enormous and the best I’ve ever had! This is a must-visit spot if you’re not in a rush. Their homemade sausage is also fantastic! Service: Dine-in; Meal type: Brunch.

The wait for our food definitely wasn’t worth it. The portions are large, which some may appreciate, but we were served after three other tables that came in after us. We were all parties of two, and when I brought it up to the waitress, she merely shrugged. It's disappointing to be served burnt toast after suggesting that perhaps they misplaced our order. I recall the service and food being much better in the past. Waiting over an hour for our meal can really kill your appetite and leave you feeling frustrated.

Rise Breakfast Sandwich: $10 for an avocado with the stem still attached in the sandwich. I wouldn't mention it if it were a one-time occurrence, but this is the second time in a row. Come on, folks! Ratings: Food: 1, Service: 3, Atmosphere: 3.
