Cafe Rio Mexican Grill - Lakewood

This place has really gotten busy .. food is good . Pollo Asado is .. what I can say is be prepared for very long lines . Your lucky if you get there and it’s not busy . As this is the only location out this way . If your ordering online thru the app , I would order early and wait 20 minutes or so before going to pick it up . The line for pick up was way long as well . It’s best to wait if your not in a hurry to eat . Could be that they are under staffed and don’t have enough people working to take on all the people that come here . And some customers don’t have the best attitude and that could be attributed to long waits . And make sure they got all your stuff in the bag . They’ve forgotten a few items of mine . Giving 3 stars because of the wait times and because they miss items . Otherwise food is good .

The fresh chicken salad and quesadillas were excellent. The portion sizes are generous!

The food here is so tasty. The salad with the sweet pork barbacoa is to die for.....but oh my God, the service is way too slow for such a busy place with great food. I do not fault the workers, they are friendly and polite, but the management is never present and obviously are not training their hard working employees to be better. The only reason I leave this place is because the line is too long and the service is slow.

I am usually pleasantly surprised by the cheese and meat portions of the enchiladas. had hardly been on my enchiladas. meat content was much less than before. the tortilla soup was cold! something has changed here and it was not impressive.
