SanSai Fresh Japanese Grill - Lakewood

My wife and I decided to try the new Japanese restaurant, Sansai, for lunch one day on a whim. The interior was clean and not too busy, with attractive tables and booths. There was an open kitchen where you could see the cooks working, and a cold bar with salad options behind glass. I found the ordering process a little confusing at first, but it turned out to be straightforward. We ordered a chicken plate and a sushi roll, both of which were excellent and fresh. I was initially hesitant to order the sushi roll with actual sushi fish, but it turned out to be tasty and not old. The salad that came with the entree, as well as the tomato and cucumber salad on the side, were also delicious. The chicken was not fatty or dry and overall, we had a great meal. The price was a bit on the higher side at $17 for the two of us to share lunch, especially for what seemed like a fast-casual restaurant. However, the quality of the food was good, so I hope this place continues to do well and contribute to the great dining scene in Restaurant Row.

This place is amazing, the decor could be described as 'modern Japanese ' , and the ambiance is really chill and casual. The food is AMAZING!! Anything I 've tried is awesome. The spicy ramen noodle soup is to die for and so any of the grill plates. Everything is fresh and flavorful. The prices are more than reasonable.

My group of 8 friends and family members visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. The establishment was clean and quiet, and the servers were incredibly polite and professional. We ordered salmon, tuna, and shrimp sushi, along with several salads and bowls of both spicy and non-spicy ramen. Every dish was of excellent quality and we were all very satisfied. The total cost was very reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. This restaurant definitely offers the best quality-to-price ratio compared to other Asian restaurants I have visited recently. I will definitely return when I am in the area again. I highly recommend this place to anyone in search of high quality Japanese cuisine, excellent and prompt service, and a budget-friendly option!

The food was really good and the customer service was outstanding!! You see, I showed up, just about closing time/chairs on to of tables already and they took my order anyway!! Kudos, to those 3 working that night!! That's rare to experience, but that's great customer service.

I really enjoy the fresh salads at this restaurant. My go-to dish is the salmon plate with a side of spicy tuna hand roll. The leftovers make for the best doggy bag.
