Delta Blues Winery - Lakeland

The wine selection is impressive and the view is beautiful. However, the price for a tasting of only 4 wines seems a bit high.

The restaurant offers beautiful views of the pond and the growing vineyard. The local band was a delightful bonus, and we were impressed with the quality of many of the wines. Our favorites were the Norton for red and the Cayuga for white.

The restaurant has a lovely setting overlooking a beautiful lake, but the wine selection was disappointing. I didn't sample the ciders or white wines, but the red wines I tried tasted more like vinegar than wine. Two of them even had a strange brownish color that is not typical for wine. The service was a mixed bag - the girl at the bar was very friendly, but the young man seemed rude and condescending. He even made snide comments about my choice of gum and suggested I was only used to cheap, mass-produced wines. Overall, not worth the drive for me.

Beautiful location for an afternoon glass of wine after work. Relaxing atmosphere and the owners were wonderful to speak with. Such passion goes into their work. The Peach wine is my favorite!
