Bidrage med feedbackI'm really confused by the mixed reviews for this place. Both on the phone and in person, everyone was incredibly friendly. Everything exceeded my expectations! I was thrilled to discover traditional dim sum with push carts, as I used to visit Chinatown twice a month while growing up in New Jersey, thanks to my grandmother living in NYC. I called on Saturday to check if there’s usually a wait, so I’d know when to arrive today. The lady who answered was exceptionally kind. I arrived shortly after they opened and felt like I was in paradise. I'm a huge fan of dumplings—they're my weakness—and they had plenty to choose from! Everyone was really nice. I’m a bit embarrassed to admit I forgot my server's name, but he was fantastic! I'll refer to him as Brooklyn since he's originally from there. The dim sum menu was great, and the people were so welcoming! I also got a to-go order and now wish I had taken more. I will definitely be back!
The food here is fantastic, and one of the highlights is that they serve Dim Sum every day! However, I do wish they offered baked BBQ pork buns. If you can manage without them, you'll really enjoy your experience! They also have a wide selection of authentic Chinese dishes, including Wintermelon Soup and fried pork intestines, among others. I highly recommend this place; I've been a loyal customer for years.
This restaurant is one of the few authentic Southern/Hong Kong-style Chinese eateries in the area. However, the quality of the food can be inconsistent, with some dishes being exceptional and others not so much. According to the staff, the dim sum is prepared off-site. I also found that the rice noodles can sometimes have a grainy texture.
We stopped by for a late dim sum lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how quickly each dish arrived, packed with flavor. Although I'm not sure about the other negative reviews, we had a fantastic experience at this restaurant.
The garlic bok choy was outstanding—cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The sesame balls were tasty, fresh, and served hot, though I've had better. We ordered half a Peking duck since we didn't want to go overboard. It took a little while to arrive, but it came with side dishes, and we requested rice instead of the usual wraps. The duck was nicely prepared, and they even sliced it for us. Overall, it was a good experience, and I recommend giving it a try. I rated it 4 out of 5, especially in comparison to what I had in NYC.
