Bidrage med feedbackI have visited Los Vaqueros twice now and I was not impressed either time. Both times, the food was cold in the middle because it did not spend enough time under the broiler to warm up the enchilada burritos properly. Although I sent it back, they came out only slightly better but still not hot. The margarita tasted as if the mix had gone bad, so I suggest sticking to beer instead. The staff was not friendly. However, the restaurant itself is housed in a nice building with an interesting view.
This restaurant is no longer called The Falls, it is now Los Vaqueros and they have transformed into a wonderful Mexican restaurant. We are thrilled to have this new addition to our area. The service was top-notch and the food was fresh, creative, and tasty. The Margarita I had was just right, made with a good blanco Tequila. My tacos were bursting with flavor and the addition of greens and fresh cilantro was a perfect combination. The Molcajete dish, served in a traditional volcanic stone bowl, was a sight to behold. The views of Lake Toxaway Falls were absolutely stunning.
I have dined at this restaurant a few times since I moved to the area. Both experiences were okay. The hours during the off-season seemed to constantly change. As of 5/26/22, there is a sign indicating that a Mexican restaurant will be taking over the current location. This is very disappointing and I am not a fan.
Loved it. Eclectic and good honest homemade food. Great view with attentive service.
The food at this restaurant is great, with a classic diner style. However, the waitstaff is severely lacking in professionalism. They behave like children, especially Holly, the oldest server who constantly interferes with other tables and speaks negatively about her colleagues. It was a disappointing and unprofessional display. I wish I could rate the food and waitstaff separately, as the waitstaff would receive a 0.
