Hawkeyes Restaurant And Bar

We visited Hawkeye's for the first time today. It was a cold, crisp day and I wanted soup. To my delight I had the choice of chili and clam chowder which are served daily or chicken chipotle, which was the soup of the day. I sampled a bit of the chowder. It was good. The chipotle chicken was fabulous! The flavor was excellent, with plenty of kick. The serving is large and came with toast. The service was good. The prices are extremely reasonable.

I had 2 beers (excellent) and deluxe Nachos. The nachos had too many jalapeños and before halfway through, it was nothing but a mess of soggireness. I wasn't asked for my second beer until my first had almost nothing left. It wasn't a bad experience, just incredibly average. I would o d go back, but prolly not eat.

We have been coming here for a few years. We love the food here especially the crispy fries they serve. There are big portions and it may be a typical menu of burgers, sandwiches, and salads but all the food is actually very good. This is our favorite neighborhood restaurant!

Rustic Sports Bar. Good menu selection. Food was good and service was excellent. We will be back!
