Lost Lake Lodge - Lake Shore

We enjoyed our evening at Lost Lake Restaurant and can't wait to return next spring. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience.

Awful experience. We arrived at 6:30 for our reservation, only to be told they were out of fish and steak, except for a New York strip. The service was slow and the food was not good quality. The waitress was not knowledgeable about the menu and the overall experience was disappointing. We will not be returning.

My wife and I had the Lobster Mac. It was OK. My daughter had the Pan Seared Chicken. It was pretty good. Portion size was a bit small. That’s the good. The bad: our reservation was at 7 and we weren’t served until 8:45. They were short staffed but our server was nowhere to be found for most of the evening. A table of 8 poured their own water then, after a bit, got up and left. Unfortunately I lacked their wisdom. She didn’t put in our drink order or even know what the wine was that I ordered. She was apologetic but made lots of excuses. The other server at least kept the water glasses full. Our meal was served but we had no silverware……After all that, I couldn’t leave a tip. On the way out the server made a point of shouting “Thank you” out the door. Classy. No way no how will we return. Should’ve stayed home and had a bagel.

The restaurant was fully booked so we decided to eat in the bar area. Bad decision. Noisy and crowded. Bartender was aloof and unfriendly. our server was very good, as she volunteered to wait on us when the rest of her tables are in the dining room. Therefore, we could overlook the long wait it took to get our food. but while I was a disappointment and the scallops were terrible and the short ribs were bland. Items that we wanted were not available that evening, as they ran out. everything seems to signal that the end of the summer is here and the restaurant is going to close.
