Hk's Restaurant And Bar - Lake Ozark

Wish I had read the reviews before choosing this restaurant. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. Now I know why. My $62 steak was cold and when they brought it back it was luke warm. My bacon Mac n cheese was hot but that's it. For our appetizer we ordered the pork belly. That came out ice cold. Nothing better then cold pork belly. We ordered the Greek salad with no hearts of palm to share. It came out with our meal not before and it literally had nothing but cucumbers and hearts of palm. We didn't even eat a single bite of it. For our entree I had the Ribeye and my fiance had the burger. The burger he said was good and hot. The ribeye terrible. I ordered it medium rare and while it came out that way it was cold. I sent it back to have them heat it up and after about 15 minutes it returns andnits barely warm. They gave me a side of garlic mashed potatoes and they were terrible and also cold. If u like cold food this is the place. I hate leaving negative comments but my finances steak was cold when it finally arrived to our table a we had it sent back only for it to come out 30 min latter and it looked and felt like it was still cooked over a heated argument and a car cigarette lighter and still cold! Mashed potatoes cold and probably came out of a box because there was no texture the manager just walked past us as we sat there offering nothing to help us with! Also our knives we had to ask for and I myself had to wash it with my napkin because it was dirty! Such a shame it could be a wonderful place if u changed everything about it. Really don’t like to give negative reviews, but for the price of the resort, and the price of the steaks, it was just ok. Equal to a place like Chili’s. Service was really good, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the service. Rachel was a very extremely friendly server. Ordered an onion ring appetizer, well priced and good for a snack. My filet minion was good, but would have liked to see a little more seasoning. The biggest disappointment was the prime rib..even ordered medium rare, it felt like “ok.” Still had a good time, but this isn’t a high end restaurant. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Convenient if you’re staying at the lodge but the food is just average. I had the seafood ravioli app, Mayflower salad, and the NY strip. App was decent, salad was a basic Caesar, steak was cooked as ordered, the entree sides were not great. Servers were polite but inexperienced and timid — e.g. asking constantly if I wanted my water refilled and asking whether to deliver our appetizer, salad and entree at the same time, forgot repeatedly to bring us the wine menu we asked for. The pre dinner cocktail was very bad. It seemed like they may have been missing a bartender though because I think we saw our server making the cocktail. Ordered a classic cocktail up, but it was delivered with heaps of ice, was the wrong color altogether and tasted very imbalanced. Probably wouldn’t go back. Great food, surf and turf was delicious could cut filet with fork. Triple burger also fantastic.. Waitress was fantastic, compliments to chef.
