Hero Sushi Sake - Lake Oswego

The service here is outstanding, and I can confidently say their sushi rolls are among the best I've ever tasted. The fish is fresh and of high quality, and the sushi chefs are both friendly and skilled. I've never had a negative experience at this place; it's a favorite in the neighborhood!

A whole, fresh piece of salmon sits on a plate of perfectly steamed vegetables. There’s just the right amount of sauce to add a hint of teriyaki flavor—no need to smother the food in sauce when it’s this incredibly delicious. And that's just lunch! You can even watch the sushi chef skillfully make your roll by hand. The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed; I almost dozed off! Actually... why am I even writing this? Please don’t come here. Let’s keep it less crowded so I can indulge anytime I’m nearby. They truly deserve to be recognized as the heroes of lunch. 5 stars!

Lovely little outdoor patio, our server was great, the sushi was delicious as was the tteok-bokki (if I'm spelling that right). We got some mochi ice cream for dessert and while it was tasty, they slathered it in Hershey's chocolate syrup which really brought it down. The syrup is the only reason I'm giving this four stars instead of five.

The Ramen is incredible. Anyone who follows my food reviews knows I'm a Ramen snob. This was great! The baked muscle were so fresh and had a perfect balance of spices. Well done chef!!!

While there’s nothing particularly exceptional about this restaurant, I feel compelled to give it a 5-star review. They source their fish from the same supplier that most sushi bars use. If you’re looking for fish flown in overnight from Japan, you might want to visit one of the standout places in Sellwood or downtown Portland. However, I digress. The prices here used to be on the higher side, but now they’re quite reasonable compared to other local spots that have dramatically raised their prices over the past three years.
