Lighthouse Seafood is the only place I recommend to buy fresh seafood in the area. As the sign reads in the shop, 'Friends don 't let friends eat farmed raised shrimp. ' I have been purchasing fish and shellfish here for years. When you walk inside, it never smells fishy. That 's one sign of how fresh everything is. I frequently purchase mussels and when cooked, I rarely have any which don 't open. The quality is highend, the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They also sell an assortment of sauces, pasta, crab stuffed portobellos, and key lime pie to mention just some of their products. If you want fresh seafood, check out Lighthouse Seafood. Fresh and fabulous! They cut the yucky skin off my salmon and portion them in single serving fillets for me to freeze. Their chowder is to die for! Love this place!

Best people, best seafood, best service. Cant say enough about this place. Every time I am in Florida I make sure I visit Lighthouse Seafood. The Key Lime Pie is to Die for (truly home made). The only thing missing is the smell of seafood, and that is a good thing. Try them next time you are in the Villages or Lake Mary.

What a great experience! the atmosphere was very low key and welcoming, but the food could keep it against any fine food seafood place. add that they have an incredible gluten-free fish and chips and even a gluten-free roasted Calamari that comes from this world! for those looking for a big gluten-free fried fish... this is the place for you!
