Bidrage med feedbackDesserts were pretty good, but very sweet. The tea selection was nice and our waitress was amazing, but the overall vibe of the hotel was subpar. Would not come back between the parking issues, lack of seating restrooms, and elitist attitude.
What a beautiful place and space to enjoy tea and treats! Kate was attentive, kind and gave stellar service. The fries had a crunch with a pinch of rosemary. The service is top tier and every employee was on top of their game.
This is a lovely restaurant that's housed in an absolutely gorgeous hotel sitting right along Lake Louise, which is one of the most beautiful places we've ever visited. The restaurant is a bit pricey, but the food is very good and the cocktails were also quite tasty. My wife has mussels and I had a burger with a side salad and we both enjoyed our meal. You can park in the parking garage and have your parking validated if you eat here, so it's a good way to be able to see Lake Louise too if you've missed one of the shuttles from town. Our service was good here as well and it's a nice restaurant overall. We would definitely come here again.
Can’t beat the location. But maybe just have a drink and a snack in the lounge.Service was mediocre. It took close to 15 minutes to have our server acknowledge us. It was not even busy when we went.Food was underwhelming. Scones were fine. Cream was not clotted and tasted like fridge. Preserves might have just been a little packet of strawberry jam poured into a ceramic dish. Marmalade was nice, as was the passion fruit curd.Sandwiches were tasteless and the fillings were mostly unidentifiable. I can’t get over the lack of flavour. Even the smoked salmon roll tasted watered down somehow. The sweets were too sweet and disappointing. Passion fruit curd was repeated in a tartlet.I feel like they are trying too hard and need to go back to basics. I will definitely not be coming back for high tea again. For $85 per person I expected more.
We were expecting great things but we’re really disappointed with this experience. We booked a reservation for the afternoon tea months in advance , before visiting in October. That part was really easy and the person we spoke to was very helpful. They did ask if we had any dietary requirements, as well as if we were coming for a special occasion. We were celebrating my dads birthday and had one vegetarian with us. None of this was acknowledged on the day. We were put on an extremely long table in the corner of the room, the table could have fit about 10 people on but there was only 4 of us. It was draughty and right by where the servers were walking in and out, it just felt like we were shoved to the side. We weren’t able to see the view from the window, which was one of the selling points of this experience. The food was nice and presented well after a long wait. We were booked in for 13:30 but the food didn’t arrive til 14:30. Also found the lady serving us very rude. When I asked for a coffee instead of tea, she told me that the experience was to be enjoyed with a cup of tea. I understood that, but for someone who doesn’t like tea, it would not have been very enjoyable. After serving everyone else tea, she did reluctantly bring me out a coffee and said I would have to pay for it, which I did understand. I think we just thought this day was going to be incredible, but we were sadly disappointed and must have had our expectations set too high
