Jolanda's Cafe Catering - Lake Forest

I get lunch with my dad every week and I'm SO happy we found Jolanda's. We've gone a few times and each time the food and coffee was really good, service was friendly and prompt, and the prices were very reasonable. The menu has a lot of variety and I love that there are healthy options in addition to smaller portions and homemade soup (I had the tomato basil soup today and it was very tasty! . The croissants are baked fresh and delicious, the breakfast plates and sandwiches we've had so far have all been really good (chili cheese omelet, corned beef hash and eggs, egg salad sandwich, health nut sandwich [unique and tasty! , fruit, coleslaw, etc. and I can't wait to try more items. Especially compared to the other breakfast/brunch options in the area (expensive, no or limited healthy options, no soup, mediocre service, etc. , Jolanda's is far superior. What a gem!

Nice place to go. Nothing spectacular, but good food at a good price and friendly staff. Easy parking.

Cute little café. EXCELLENT food, and lots of it!! Lots of choices on the menu. Something for everyone! Jolanda's also will deliver food to your home daily!! Great for my 91 yr old mom who still lives on her own to get quality meals!

2s for food and service are being generous. Food temp uneven, some reasonably warm, some minimally warm to cold. Scrambled eggs very mediocre. Biscuits terrible, bready , not flakey or light or golden brown, split and actually grilled on split side, maybe trying to make them marginally warm. Net result tasteless, dry, dense bread. Bad gravy, sausage taste okay but consistency almost watery, not creamy at all, texture quite flourly . I grew up in the South on biscuits and gravy, this was an insult to biscuits and gravy. The server was sullen. $5 added to a $9 breakfast for gravy to put on a biscuit is not good pricing. I sincerely hope this was just a terrible day and they do much better typically.
