Denny's - Lake Charles

I will never, ever, step foot in this place again. I came here for the veterans day special. I got there at 12:40, they said it ended at 12. Fine that 's on me. At 1 pm, I was finishing up my meal and a gentleman walked in who is also a veteran. They told him his meal would be free and they even shouted across the restaurant Let 's do free meals until 3pm . I went to pay and they made me pay for the whole thing, even though I only for the grand slam (which was what they were offering for free today). Maybe it 's because I 'm a woman? I brought 5s and 10s to use as tips, but they only got the bare minimum 10% tip from me today. The service was also slow and the customer service wasn 't great either. I will never, ever, go here again and I 'm spreading the word to my fellow veterans not to go to this location drive to Alexandria instead from Fort Polk.

Food tasted like it was microwaved, it was burnt, tasteless and nasty. Coffee was bland. Looked good but tasted like brown water. Eggs were rubbery. No butter for our toast. Waiter was mediocre at best. Not coming back here.

The restaurant is not clean. They do not practice safety and sanitation in food preparation. Hair in my food. Ordered grilled chicken, got fried chicken. Service was horrible...I will never return here. Took an hour to get a salad.

Worst experience ever. 45 minutes to get our order. 5 empty tables. Had to send back pancakes twice because being burnt on bottom. Waiter was good. Problem was in the kitchen... Will never be back. What a shame

Very good breakfast, I had French toast, eggs and bacon, my husband had eggs, toast, ash brown, bacon, and we both had a cup of coffee. The food was delicious. We always come back, it's such a beautiful place to have breakfast and have spent amazing conversations and time.
