Bidrage med feedbackYesterday, my family and I stopped by the Grand Floridian lobby to check out the stunning Gingerbread House, and I can't recommend it enough! The lobby is beautifully adorned and quite spacious, so even though it was bustling with people, there was still plenty of room to wander around and snap some photos. If you're in the Disney area and want to enjoy some festive holiday decorations, this is a wonderful choice! You can also buy gingerbread cookies and hot cocoa, making it a delightful treat for the season!
The gingerbread house is a highly awaited annual attraction that attracts thousands of visitors each year. We had the delightful opportunity to meet the chef behind this beautiful creation and even snapped some photos. Inside the gingerbread house, there’s a shop offering a variety of gingerbread goodies, but the line was too long, so we opted to head to our next destination. It's certainly worth a visit since it’s not every day you encounter such impressive craftsmanship!
I was quite disappointed with the cleanliness of all three rooms I booked during my stay from August 22-25. I was in the Boca Chica building, specifically in rooms 8434, 8432, and 8436. Given the amount of money I spent, it was simply unacceptable.
The Grand Floridian Villas were absolutely stunning—some might even call it luxurious. I adored the architecture and the wonderful scent that greets you upon entering. A grand piano softly played in the lobby, creating a beautiful ambiance. While we were a bit tucked away in the villas, it wasn’t a long walk to the main areas. The resort features several pools, each with its own unique vibe. One pool has an extensive area for children, along with a charming man-made beach overlooking the lake. There are plenty of fun games for kids, as well as cabanas and cozy relaxation spots. Plus, there’s a bar at each pool serving drinks and snacks. The lobby also has a few delightful gift shops. We were thrilled to find a Michelin-starred restaurant on-site, as well as another lovely seafood restaurant called Narcoossee's. One night, we ordered dinner and breakfast another morning, and it was a brilliant decision! The food was incredible and surprisingly affordable. The villas themselves are beautiful, featuring a nice balcony with a view of the electrical boat parade, a lovely living room, a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and two bedrooms. The master bedroom is gorgeous, complete with a huge tub, while the guest bedroom has two double beds. The lobby area within the villa is fun, with games, coloring materials, and a TV playing Disney shows for kids. Overall, we stayed for two nights and three days and could have easily stayed longer. We really loved our time here and genuinely have no complaints!
In the spring, I enjoy visiting to see the amazing chocolate Easter eggs on display—I'll share some pictures. During the Christmas season, the atmosphere at the Grand Floridian is truly enchanting. The decorations and the impressive gingerbread house are nothing short of spectacular. The only reason I’m not giving it a full 5-star rating is due to the high prices. I would love to have a staycation here, but unfortunately, the cost is just a bit too high for my budget.
