Bidrage med feedbackThis was one of many visits in the royal ocean terrace. we sat on a warm evening on the pool side and shared the keilsalat and the bottom veggie flabread. there was no problem to add that huh to the flatbread if desired. the portions were large and the taste was delicious. we will visit again.
The new year buffet was very overpriced. the outside seats and the prospects were excellent except that the pool there ran with children and distracted from the environment.
My husband and I had a wonderful evening dining at the Royal Ocean Terrace. The food was fresh and very tasty! We had a fantastic server and live music, which made for a great first night out in Maui!
We just watched an episode of Where Hawaii eats- on YouTube [hidden link]. The Executive Chef was featured and the food looked so good. You could even hear the crunch into the french toast sticks. We ate lunch here on our last trip to Maui, decided to make dinner reservations. We booked on Opentable and needed to add one person to our party. We couldn't modify our reservation; however, I messaged the restaurant through Opentable and they updated the reservation the next day. We were seated quickly and got a table near the pool, looking out at the ocean. We ordered the Hamakua Arancini, Molokini Island Clams, Alaea Bone Marrow appetizers. The Arancini with the puree was DELICIOUS! You need to try this! We usually have clams with garlic, butter, and white wine. The version at Royal Ocean Terrace was a good different- the broth was soy based and the Chinese sausage tied the dish together. If you're an Anthony Bourdain fan, you'd appreciate this. Bone Marrow is not a common menu item so we were excited to have it. Our party ordered the Steamed Fish(today it was Hamachi) which came with a side of fried rice, the Ribeye, Royal Burger, and Chicken Roulade. We all enjoyed our entrees. The Royal Burger was tall and the fries were crispy. The whole table got in on the fries because they were really good! It is what you want every french fry to taste like. We completed our meal with the Pineapple Upside Down cake, YUM! Overall, great food, great view, and friendly service. During peak season, the more well known restaurants are busy and they want to turn their tables quick. We got to relax and enjoy our dinner and not be rushed. This made our dinner experience even better. Mahalo to Ford and Lyle for a great evening!
We have chosen this place specifically for brunch. the buffet was terrible and the order from the menu was not better. at 10 o'clock in the morning the Landscaping crew ran the weed and rasenmäher for our entire meal. the server was beautiful and apologetic and the manager has reduced our meals. they didn't seem surprised that eating was terrible.
