Velar - Laguardia

Dropped in for a couple of glasses of wine and tapas. Asked for house wine which the locals drink and were charged €2 a glass. Tapas we were charged €1.80 for each item, not per ration. The owner sat at the end of the bar controlling the barman and his charging. The tapas tasted good but were grossly overpriced. Would certainly not recommend.

We were looking for some pre dinner drinks and snacks and dropped into this bar. Blaring TV, filthy floor and a couple of tables one of which we grabbed. Tapas microwaved, small plate of octopus €10 was a little steep, otherwise pricing was fair. Wouldn’t return.

I ended up here when one of the higher rated places that was supposed to be open on a Sunday evening wasn’t. As others have said, friendly staff and probably a dozen different pintxos selections. Tasty enough but don’t expect high cuisine. I didn’t care for one of the House whites but my server’s recommends on the Crianza was a good one. 5 pintxos and 2 glasses of wine for 13 euro. Can’t ask for more than that!

Excelente relación calidad precio. En el menú básico se encuentran platos muy dignos, no decir elegante, con sabores marcados y estéticos atractivos. Come muy bien. las mesas un poco estrechas.
