Was at Traffic [Bar Restaurant] on Sunday for a group lunch/hangout with friends. Traffic has various sections named after various spots in Lagos eg, Ikoyi, Ikeja, Surulere, Third Mainland Bridge etc. We were about 20+ in total in my group so we were directed to “Ikoyi”, which was an enclosed area with a number of tables and chairs. The first thing you’d notice about Traffic is all the photo worthy spots. There are sooo many nice spots to get good pictures. It’s a very natural, playful and colourful vibe. The food was nice too. The cocktails were really good. Sitting at the Ikoyi section had its ups and downs. It was nice that we got a section to ourselves where we didn’t have to share the space with anyone else. Problem was, because of how secluded we were, we couldn’t easily call out to any of the staff. If we needed something, we’d have to go call one of them if they weren’t nearby. It was also soooo hot. Most of the seating areas were outdoors under the sun. “Ikoyi” had canopy shade which was nice but it was still really hot. The food also takes a while to get ready. Literally took almost 2 hours for a lot of us to get our meals. It was also pricier than I expected mostly because most of the prices I’d seen before choosing to go there were old. Overall, it was alright. Highlights for me were the cocktails and picture spots.
Lovely scenery and aura. It should be renamed the garden bar and restaurant because of the natural feel it has. The food is great and expensive, service time is fine, please avoid the peppered chicken wings, it might burn your mouth literally. All in all, nice place.
It is an outdoorsy, garden type restaurant. The way the flowers and shrubs are arranged, it offers some sort of sectioned off privacy. It's cute. Music crooned from speakers tucked away from sight. The waiter at the table was efficient and professional. The food: fiesta fried rice with goat meat. It looked, but didn't taste as good.
