Izzo's Illegal Burrito Lafayette River Marketplace

I know that a lot of people rave about this restaurant, but our experience was just okay. The chicken and beef in the burrito bowl were served at room temperature, and the portion size for sharing was average.

Many visitors flock to this restaurant for the burritos, and rightfully so, but don’t overlook the tacos—they’re quite tasty in their own right, especially the Americanized version. I understand that many customers have a great appreciation for this restaurant, but it didn't quite live up to our expectations. The chicken and beef in the burrito bowl were served lukewarm, and we felt that the overall value for the price was just average.

I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time and had a positive experience with the service. The staff member who helped me was very knowledgeable and provided excellent assistance. It had been a few years since my last visit to an Izzo's, and I remembered really enjoying it back then. I ordered the pork burrito, which I had loved in the past, but this time it was just okay. I’m not sure if there have been changes to their recipes or preparation methods, but it seemed like many items were pre-prepared and simply heated up. While the ingredients were fresh, the overall flavor didn’t live up to my previous memories. It’s a decent place for a quick meal, but I would prefer to spend my money on something more memorable in the future.

The food was excellent. It was my first visit, and the staff were very professional.
