Mi Cocina Mexican Grill - La Verne

So the place where we originally wanted to try out our waiting time was 2 hours. so we needed in the beautiful old town of laverne. we have looked at the map for local Mexican restaurant with high ratings and so we found this restaurant. when we arrived, it was empty, that should have been a note. we have hunger, so we have decided to try. the service is amazing, the workers worked hard to bring us what we needed. the ananas strawberry agua fresca delicious! eating was not what we had expected, so bland, no teller were what we had expected so disappointed and I will leave it.

Be local and tried mi cocina for the first time for a Sunday breakfast. Unfortunately we found that eating lacks taste and the service was warm but slow. the venue is beautiful and can subconsciously high expectations for what is to be expected. not sure whether our experience is one or whether it is the norm. not sure whether we are back.

The only thing that was truly authentic was the horchata and the Mexican beer.Beans tasted canned, rice was bland and dry, green salsa was not even right. Disappointed with the white washed style mexican food. Over priced too.Red flag, it's in downtown LA Verne ?

Sarcastic skinny little kid said he was Manager was so rude to me. I was sitting there for 15 minutes he brought me water approx. 4 minutes later . When I said I've been there for 20 min and he served drinks to people who came 10 minutes after me he argued with me and said I was there for 4 minutes. I was loyal up to now. Last visit Chorizo was so greasy . I sent it back and then same visit they brought me runny eggs. I have never seen a chorizo burrito served like that. So I haven t been back since. This was first visit because I had just had hair done at salon and I was starving but things didn't go well. Affirmed for me I will not be going back. Prior to that my daughter and I were loyal customers at least 3 times a month. Oh and if I go by myself I always try to order soup for late. Last 6 times they ran pool out of abondigas. He passive aggressively told me they only serve Monday thru Friday. Instead of just saying it politely. He was so defensive. Horrible experience

Delicious Mexican food! Great ambiance too... I loved the hibiscus margarita, coctel de camaron, and their chille rellenos! I definitely recommend this place. Service was fast and friendly, definitely coming back. It's casual dining with lots of seating available.
