Ristoro La Roueige - La salle

Ristorante molto curato, gestori praticamente perfetti, incantevole location esterna in un'oasi di pace, l'interno piccolo ma accogliente, si mangia divinamente proprio come a casa. Per raggiungerlo c'è un tratto di strada sterrata ma facilmente accessibile, anche l'accoglienza è praticamente perfetta, torneremo sicuramente.

Mi riferisco alla quantità di ospiti superiore alla capienza dei tavoli, stipati come polli in batteria e spesso al sole. Cibo abbondante e di buona qualità al solito ma servire vino bianco in bottiglia a tenperatura ambiente è imperdonabile. Prezzi in salita come previsto, lo sterrato di accesso sempre diabolico

We stayed the night at La Haut, the converted barn up the valley, owned by Alessandro Rampin, the owner of La Roueige. He brought us down in his 4x4 for the meal, served in the family dining room across from the family itself. The lamb, raised on the farm, was exquisite, and the meal was a delight. It was also extremely good value. The accommodation at La Haut was rustic, but so lovely. Dark wood, thick stone walls, and perfect peace miles from civilisation. We were doing the Alta Via 2, and walked down from the (now avalanched) unmanned refuge at Promoud took 40 mins through the lovely forest. Well worth it.

We love this rustic, peaceful spot for informal family lunches. The owners put their all into looking after us, carrying the best of their home grown produce, cured meats etc, out to tables set out on the hillside, or to the cosy homely tables inside their cottage . It is a fixed menu, simple (unsophisticated) fare, and you feel almost as though you are a private guest of the family on their working small holding. It is a privilege to book here and be allowed to use the long private unmade road to reach it!

Non posso rivedere questo posto incantevole per la seconda volta. Ogni estate per noi rappresenta una tappa fissa per il luogo la cucina e l'ospitalità. Non chiedere un menu la carte, non chiedere una rivista o una franciacorta, non aspettarsi argenteria o tovaglioli di raso. Siediti sulle panchine e prendi quello che la natura ha dato a simona e che lei con amore infinito cucinato per te. Ovviamente ogni mese ha le sue peculiarità e a Pranzo/Cena i corsi saranno leggermente diversi, ma sarà tutto grande. Se vai a pranzo puoi goderti il prato per riposare o passeggiare nel bosco per scoprire altri luoghi. Questo posto è tra i nostri luoghi di cuore!
