Bidrage med feedbackReally liked our dinner and service. Would love to come more often, but high cost of dining out in exclusive places like L G's limits us.
The service was amazing. The servers were very attentive and had great recommendations. I had the filet which was cooked as I ordered, medium rare. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass which easily flaked off with the fork. We added the cream spinach and sautéed mushrooms which were delicious. Both meals were amazing. We would definitely be back.
Always happy to have such a great service and be greeted with a smile. rolando never misses a beat and we are always happy to see him when we eat at lg
We rent a condo at PGA West on the Pete Dye Stadium Course for 3 weeks each January and have visited the Coachella Valley many times. (We were married at Spencer 's in Palm Springs in April '07). Having dined many times at Ruth 's Chris and Morton 's in Palm Desert, we decided to give LG 's a first time try. Let 's start with the very good...that would be Freddy , our server. You could tell he really enjoyed his job and made us feel so very welcomed. Also very good was the expertly crafted Ketel One Vodka Martini (with bleu cheese stuffed olives) and, since is it was a Friday, I opted for the Prime Rib while the Mrs. went for the petite filet. Again, both very good and cooked to perfection. Where LG 's fell somewhat sort were the salads. I had the Caesar Salad (which used to be prepared table side I 'm told) that usually comes with anchovies...said anchovies were missing from the salad. My wife had their chopped salad and, we agreed after they arrived at our table (at $15.00 a pop), were somewhat puny in nature. The other miss was our choice of a side to split. We went with their roasted Brussel Sprouts...that came with crumbled bleu cheese and drizzled with balsamic vinegar. One bite into a sprout revealed that they could have a bit used more time in the oven...a little too al dente for our liking. Not wanting to send anything back and make a fuss, we enjoyed our LG 's experience and meal nonetheless. However, when it comes time again for a steak in the desert, we 'll try one of the other high end steakhouses in the valley.
LG 's is just incredible! The prime steaks have no equal in the Coachella Valley, qne h3 ambience is a wonderful blend of dark, cozy, traditional steakhouse but updated just enough. Huge bar that is open to the beautiful large dining room, so sitting there doesn 't feel like one has been delegated to a lesser quality area. Chef knows what he 's doing, too-had the special creamy beet soup topped with a dollop of fresh crab that is perhaps the best soup I 've ever eaten-and I am including restaurants like The French Laundry in that comparison!
