La Réserve - La Prairie

Great staff making for great experience. Lively energetic atmosphere. We loved it but might be a bit noisy for some. Good menu with lots of options. Good presentation and flavors. We recommend this gem.

We went on a Saturday around 5:30. The food was great, very tasty. The waiters were also very nice and helpful. The size of the plates might be just enough so if you have a big appetite consider taking an entree. The music was just right, no screaming required ;

My husband and I ate here tonight and I couldn’t wait to share this review. We just arrived today to the area and wanted a good meal. After reading positive reviews we decided on La Reserve. We were hesitant at first when the restaurant had no menu in English, because we do not speak French. The manager saved the day for us. He not only read through the menu for us, but helped by making suggestions. I have had veal many times, but the veal on the bone I ate here was the best! The chef prepared the thick chop over a bed of mashed vegetables. The flavor combinations burst with fresh flavor in every bite. My husband chose the wagyu beef. Although pricey, he declared it to be worth every cent. We also shared a delicious peach and pear salad, then shared a toffee carmelized brownie with ice cream for dessert. I can’t believe I ate so much! Thank you to the kind manager and wonderful chef at La Reserve for making our first meal in Canada one that we will never forget!

We arrived without on a Tuesday eve, busy, but seated immediately. The menu is quite varied, inventive and varied. Excellent service, many high end efforts. I wish we lived closer.
