The Burger Grill - La Porte

We tried Burger Bar and Grill in Laporte (former McFall's Tavern) last week. It's a tiny place that's not pretentious. Not nice or modern, but super clean and a beautiful little hangout type of spot. The menu is simple: burger, chicken (grilled/crispy), pulled pork sliders, hot dogs, a few salads and a million different Fried appetizers. We went to about 7, the bartender / server (name is lost in my decorated brain at the moment) welcomed us and we ordered drinks, and then went with us via the menu and what they all went over (HUUUGE points for it, wished it more). Our soda and water came nice and cold with many refills as their AC was taxed and had a temporary disorder (is the season). At first we selected a starter sampler who had 5 different things. Forgive me if I don't get them completely right: Pretzel Bites, Mini Tacos, Fried Cauliflower, Broccoli Cheddar Bites and Onion Petals. Then you select 5 different sauces (I will not scratch my 4 brain cells, which all remember). Served on a 12-dinner plate, it was well worth the around 10. Not crowded, but it was perfect part for two hungry people. Server treated us as if we were the only people who were the same with the other customers. I am probably on my third refill of Diet Pepsi and seventh glass of ice water, automatically brought to me without any questions. I ordered a tank size burger (1/2 lb.) on grilled sourdough with Gouda, Mayo, tomatoes and onion. Heather ordered 1/4 lb. Burger (name and attachments escape me due to the above mentioned oblivion). Great taste, meat tasted good. I failed by not ordering Temp... was still a good sandwich. For 2 you can order endless Fries/Chips, but the App Platter was enough. With, this time I lost an overview of the amount of being with which the server held, happy. I enjoyed this place, and when I put my hands on some dollar bills and in Laporte, I'll get an even bigger appetite and try more. You also have a function burger and chicken sandwich of the week and lunch delivery for all you wild Laporte people. Enjoyable food and drink at a decent price. Go!

The best burger I've had for a long time! The staff and the atmosphere here were great. I would definitely recommend getting a burger here. Fries were also killers.

This place is great! We had a large group of 16 for a birthday party, and the owners and workers went beyond and beyond to welcome us The food is so good! Each of us had only praise for the delicious burgers! The unlimited pommes and pub chips are delicious and much! Very recommended

My first time here and it was awesome! Sarah was very nice and the burger was awesome too! Would totally go back!

If your looking for a good burger or anything really check them out!!! Housemate chips and dip are pretty good!
