Christo's Family Dining - La Porte

We stopped for breakfast. WOW! AMAZING! A place in the North with good sweet tea and good breakfast gravy. So we returned for dinner. I am bit of old school and like Liver and Onions. Service was superb. Jenn was great of the morning and a young lady hername started with D was wonderful as well!

Christos have been a favorite restaurant of our family for 30+ years. My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner there. We decided to go out to dinner last night and chose Christos since we have not been there since before the pandemic. They didn?tdisappoint! We had the fried chicken dinner it was very good, each dinner featured a half of chicken at a very reasonable price!The dinner came with salad or soup, I recommend the soup! choice of potato and a dessert. Our server, Noah, was soattentive, even as his tables grew, plus he was very polite and so nice even as we watched other patriots treating him very rudeand complaining about, well just about everything. We were appalled by the behavior of the other customers! Thank you toChristos and especially Noah! Still a family favorite here.

My wife and I went there may 6, 2018 and we loved it! The people are great and food is fabulous! The manager worked with us and we got the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer when it is only supposed to be a single fried green tomato on a special summ special burger. Wow! Best fried green tomatoes ever! And they gave us buffalo ranch and regular ranch dipping sauce! Great also! Went well with the New York strip steak that was cooked to perfection. Lots of food and a great looking interior as well. Fabulous carrot cake for my 60th birthday! We will be going back when we are in town again!

This was not our first choice that we had driven from Portage to eat in Zorros. But sad to say they were closed. So we stopped at Christos and I'm glad we did. We sat right away. I had hot tea and water to drink my husband had a little watered the sweet tea, but okay. We both had the lemon soup, which was very good and the rolls were delicious. He ordered the Meatloaf, who came with two huge slices of meat lambs and potatoes, he said it was very good. I ordered the pull pig Mac N cheese and ohh it was so good. Many foods brought most of me home and ate it for lunch today. We've ever got a piece of apple cake and that's not disappointed. I will definitely go back

This is one of the better restaurants in LaPorte. My biggest challenge is that they do not have enough vegetarian/vegan decisions on the menu. Plant-based meat substitutes would help to make this an excellent restaurant. Great staff and facilities and toilets are clean.
