Bolt Brewery Beer Garden - La Mesa

The beer was decent, but the quality of the establishment is seriously called into question by their comedy night. Our first experience was quite disappointing, but we decided to give it another try. Unfortunately, we only lasted about 15 seconds. The MC, who I assume is the one organizing the show, started off by joking that the shooter at the Trump rally should have aimed better. We attend 1-2 comedy shows across the country each week and are generally open to political humor, even if we don’t agree with it. However, I think most reasonable people would agree that this crosses the line!

I absolutely adore this place! Not only do they have fantastic beer and an intriguing backstory, but my wife and I also held our wedding reception here years ago. It's a wonderful venue for such occasions, and Bolt will always hold a special meaning for us.

The Pacific Amber was excellent. Unfortunately, they either ran out or experienced technical difficulties with the tap, or else I would have ordered another. The weather and breeze made the venue feel a bit chilly, though.

Came here on a weekend afternoon to try some beers. There are picnic tables outside and they had a Mexican food cart in front of the brewery. This is a nice brewery tucked away in La Mesa. Unfortunately I didn’t care too much for the beer selection that they had, there was nothing that really well with me, but I really enjoyed the location and the staff were very friendly. I will pop in another time when the tops rotate to try out some more beers.
