What an experience! Our four-headed family had a nice special dinner in this restaurant. (We just came for dinner; not guests of the hotel. All foods were of excellent quality. The service was attentive and very pleasant. They were so courteous for my two children (ages 6 and 10, and bonus there was a children's table d’hote Our whole food was excellent, but special mention of sweet bread, duck and smoked salmon plate.
Food is excellent and appropriate for the market and the time of the year. How to guess....duck is excellent!
If you're looking for a fabulous dining experience in the La Malbaie region, this restaurant is a must-try. Many, including myself, believe it is one of the top restaurants in the area and can easily compete with some of the best big city dining establishments.
The restaurant's decor may be outdated, but don't let that deter you. The mismatch between the decor and the food is surprising. The quail starter was cooked to perfection. I tried the evening's special, a low and slow cooked halibut, which was incredibly delicious. My husband ordered the tenderloin, also cooked perfectly. Our waiter, Jean Phillipe, was fantastic. Even though he was busy, he took the time to personally interact with each table, making us feel truly special. We ended our meal with the amazing Tarte au Sucre and lemon tart.
