Bidrage med feedbackExcellent place for croissants with some of the most creative aromes I have seen. I loved the strawberry pistachio croissant and her special savory croissant absolutely (the names do not catch, but it is the round in the picture.)
This is one of the best chocolate croissants I’ve eaten in my life. The layers in the pastry, the quality of the chocolate and overall croissant were perfect. The potato and spinach pastry was perfect as well!Seating space is limited and outside. The space inside is limited to the store itself which includes a cute little shop selling an assortment of things including towels, greeting cards, and soaps!
I've been in San Diego for 12 years and I can't believe I've never heard of this Bird Rock bakery. This weekend, I went for the first time with my coworkers, and wow! When we arrived at 9 a.m. on Saturday, there was a line that had a wait time of about 12 minutes. Everyone in line appears to get coffee at BRC before heading over to Wayfarers. I tried their strawberry pistachio croissant, which was the finest croissant I'd ever had!!!! It was flaky and exceptional. I also tasted a bit of my friend's sesame corn cookie, which reminded me of corn bread. I also tried a pinch of the rubard milk bread thing, which was wet on the inside like tres leches.Overall, despite the fact that it was my first visit, I believe it is the best bakery in San Diego.
Yummm yum yum Probably one of the best almond croissants I've ever had. I think they add cinnamon?? Which makes it insanely delicious. The ham&cheese croissant was also tasty and flaky. We also tried the vanilla strawberry scone which we enjoyed :)I recommend pre-ordering since the line can be down the fricken block on a weekend haha but worth it!!
These pastries were simply INCREDIBLE! so fresh and light. We loved all of them and enjoyed them over the next couple of days (they didn't go stale). Just a walk from the beach too!
