A restaurant in the popular shopping district near the UCSD campus, which specialises in Burger. We ordered a tuna salad burger (White albacore tuna salad, Cheddar, Jack, Salad, tomatoes, Pickles Mayo, a Hula burger (Sautéed mushrooms, salad, tomatoes, Swiss Mayo, and I ordered the Luau island Tacos, which describes the menu as (Two Mais tortillas filled w/kalua on Pork, Cara. Served w/a side of ranchero beans. I could only speak for the tacos, but they were absolutely delicious. Was quite impressed by the Kalua pork that was perfectly cooked and tender. The cartelized onions, teriyaki sauce, guacamole, plus a few pieces of salad in a very thick corstortilla that was able to hold up to all liquid and meat. Surprising filling of the bowl but easy to eat. Service was pretty fast and servers were very friendly. The best part is waiting is also quite low during a peak time for dinner on Friday and they even take Triton Cash for students nearby.

The first 100 people today receive a complementary burger for their 35th anniversary. The burger was good and the staff is friendly. I tried the island Golden Ale and Kona Longboard camp samples and ordered the Kilauea Burger on a whole wheat bean with frits. The fries and burgers are good.

I thought Island Restaurant was pretty good! From there were burgerries, the wings and drinks of taste above the board were all quite consistent! I recommend that you try this place if you have never been before! I will definitely come back from time to time!

Burgers and Pommes are pretty good and you get a free refill of Pommes. The staff is very friendly.

We went with a party of 14 when they were very busy but you couldn't tell by how courteous and attentive our waiter was. He had our drinks out and was there to refill them constantly, he was very knowledgeable of the menu and as soon as he took our order the cooks had our food out all together and cooked perfectly to order. Highly recommended for a burger person looking for a burger twist.
